PlayStation Network Update: 10/23/2008

Part of: PlayStation Network Updates

Let's call this International Demo Day! The first big news is the Halloween sale for Siren: Blood Curse. If you don't have this game, this is the perfect time to grab it. Just be prepared for a really long download process and an even longer install period.

We have a break in tradition with three Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution packs, none of which are free. It is a shame, even though I don't have the game; I was still downloading them for future use. We have a single (weird) song for Guitar Hero: World Tour and a bunch of Rock Band songs no one has heard of.

On the demo front, we have a huge release in the form of a Mirror's Edge demo, cannot wait to try this game. There is also a Tom Clancy’s EndWar demo that I am eager to try as well. Rounding it out, there is a WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 demo and a demo for the re-tweaked and improved Alone in the Dark: Inferno.

Tons of videos to look at, including LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm Pacific Rift, SOCOM: Confrontation, Far Cry 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Stormrise: Echelon Snipers and Stormrise: You Are In Command. There are movie videos for You Don’t Mess With The Zohan and Casino Royale Collector’s Edition.

Nothing new to buy (a great deal on Siren, though), but a lot of dmos to help you decide what to buy in this crowded gaming season. Details are below:

SIREN: Blood Curse Halloween 1-week sale (from 10/30 - 11/6)
