Let's call this ME TOO! week on the PSN, nearly all the major items have been available on the 'other' console for a very long time. Still it is nice to get them and in some cases at a better price point.
The biggest entry is the first game based on the insanely popular online comic/personalities - Penny Arcade in the form of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One. This game was well received and sold very well on the PC and X360, we now have it at a $5 discount... not too shabby. Prince of Persia Classic also makes an appearance, this is a beautiful recreation of the original game using the Sands of Time engine.
On the add-on front we have the Yoda character from the X360 version of Soul Calibur IV at the crazy price of $5. There is Halloween themed content for Buzz! Quiz TV and High Velocity Bowling as well as some characters for High Velocity Bowling. More Mega Man 9 greed infused add-ons are on offer, sorry, no sale. Following last week's tradition there are also two map packs for Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution, one free, one not so much.
In another 'me too' moment, Guitar Hero World Tour is now offering tracks and packs looking very similar to Rock Band updates, of course we also have the Rock Band 2 weekly songs as well.
On the demo front we have the de-Qored demo for Valkyria Chronicles, this is a great demo and if you have any interest in strategy RPG's you need to try this. One of my favorite games this year, Lego Batman, is now available in demo form, definitely worth a look as well.
Large amount of videos as well looking at PAIN, SOCOM Confrontation, Disney Sing It, Dead Space, Guitar Hero World Tour, Legendary, NHL 09 and Tom Clancy’s EndWar. There are themes for Wipeout HD (free!) and MegaMan 9 (not free... what a surprise).
Overall a big week, if you do not have the X360 versions of the new games it is a great week for PS3 owners. Deets are below.
