Wait...is the PSPGo launching today? All kidding aside this is a great update on the PSN with price drops, demos and new games plus a digital wheelbarrow full of PSP games.
First there is a limited time drop on a number of the newly added and legacy PSP digital titles. Of note is Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, WTF, Prinny Can I Really be the Hero? and Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! All four games are of high quality and on offer for a great price. I really hope Sony does these promotions weekly. It will encourage me (and others) to buy some of these digital titles.
Keeping on the PSP train for a moment we have 96 PSP games, 4 PSOne classics and 6 PSP Mini titles to choose from. Some are brand new like Thexder Neo (glee) and PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe. Very nice to see all these titles, some are priced great, others much too high unfortunately, but a great launch list for the PSPGo.
We also have some newish PS3 games (I know!) in the form of Digger HD and Uno. Uno being years later then the other version, but beggars can't be choosers. Two demos grace the PSN this week as well, The amazing Brutal Legend and Need for Speed Shift demos are both well worth downloading.
Operation Anchorage and The Pitt are added for Fallout 3 enjoyment as well as a series of Watchmen inspired costumes for LittleBigPlanet (and no there is no Dr. Manhattan costume).
Finally we have the normal Rock Band/Guitar Hero updates as well as many game videos and suitably overpriced themes. What would a weekly update be without those?
A great big update, the updated pricing promotion is a good sign and I hope it continues next week. For more details, please visit the official PlayStation Blog.
