Hmm, I am not sure what to think of this week's PSN update. If JEOPARDY! was $9.99 I would have bought it in a heartbeat, but at 15 bucks I am not sure...hmmm. I would love to hear feedback on the game and how the multiplayer works. It may sway me to drop 15 bones on this quiz game.
The other big addition is the PAIN Amusement Park. I know gaming editor Ken Edwards is looking forward to this one. I bought PAIN during the summer sale and never really got into the game, so this is a pass for me. Of course I have no interest in buying skins for 99 cents either so the other DLC is a wasted effort on me. I do know their are a lot of PAIN fanatics out there who have been waiting eagerly for this, so there is good news for them.
Rounding it out, Qore purchasers can now download the MotorStorm: Pacific Rift demo for their enjoyment. We will see how that stacks up to the truly amazing Pure demo from last week. There is also a Fifa 09 demo (downloaded) and a Guitar hero: Aerosmith demo (so NOT downloaded) to wet your gaming whistles with.
We also have the late Rock Band updates featuring a band I have not heard of and the amazingly funny Stephen and the Colberts song - "Charlene (I’m Right Behind You)", for free no less. Premiering on Friday is big news for Guitar Hero and Metallica fans. The Metallica “Death Magnetic” Full Album featuring 2 exclusive versions of “Suicide & Redemption” is released and compatible with both Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero World Tour...that equals awesome as the album is debuting in stores Friday as well. Hope we see more like this.
Finally on the multimedia front we have a plethora of videos looking at Golden Axe: Beast Rider, FIFA 09, NHL 09, Blitz: The League II, Saints Row 2, NFS Undercover, BiA: Hell’s Highway and Legendary. There are wallpapers for PAIN and themes for PAIN, Mirror's Edge and NFS Undercover.
A solid week for some people, yet a meh week for others. Deets are below so you can decide for yourself.
