Another large and appreciated week on the good old PSN, but where in blazes are the PS1 classics and trophy updates...sheesh! I kid, I kid!
We have a new game - The Last Guy, for your playing pleasure. A truly unique game using Google earth images to form a playing field as your 'last guy' rescues humans. We also have the latest Warhawk booster pack - Operation Fallen Star. This one is framed around a crater formed by a crashed Chernovan capital ship. You will race, fly, and yes JETPACK around the enormous crashed ship. Jetpacks are also part of this update and there was a free patch included that adds many things like trophies, in -game music and Jetpack support for all the maps.
On a weird note, at the very last minute Rush's "Moving Pictures" album was delayed as DLC this week for unknown reasons, so they subbed it with...four Locksley songs? Who the deuce is Locksley? Ahh well, I suppose someone must know them and will be excited.
We have a couple of demos this week, an NHL 09 demo that I hope is superior to the NHL 2K9 one I already deleted. There is also a demo for the smash hit game Soul Caliber IV. We discussed this game heavily on one of our Multiplayer Chat podcasts. I still enjoy the game but some of the panelists did not. Download the demo if you are on the fence and decide for yourself ...ahh the wonder of demos!
On the multimedia front we have an uber-pile of videos looking at SOCOM Confrontation, LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN, Facebreaker, GT5 Prologue, Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, Madden NFL 09 and Top Spin 3. There are trailers for the new Bond film Quantum Of Solace as well as Prom Night. Last but not least there are some wallpapers looking at The Last Guy.
So a full week again, lots to enjoy for video, demo, Warhawk and weird map-based game fans! Deets are below.
