PlayStation Network Update: 07/03/2008

Part of: PlayStation Network Updates

Sigh, I know Sony just can't pull a magic rabbit out of their hat, but I was kind of hoping to see a really nice update (read: PS1 games, demos, PSN games) after the 2.40 snafu. All we really see are the new issues of Qore (looks great though and has the Naruto demo, glee!), a free Guitar Hero 3 track and the late Rock Band stuff.

Of course we have a bucketload of videos: Killzone 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Battlefield: Bad Company, Tiger Woods ‘09, Vampire Rain Altered Species and 2 more Dead Space Animated Comics. There are also movie trailers for Lakeview Terrace, John Mayer Live in Los Angeles, Vantage Point and Persepolis.

On the Multimedia Front we have Woodward and Civ Revolutions themes and a Top Spin 3 wallpaper.

This is a pretty disappointing update and a lot of people are disillusioned with Sony at this moment. I for one wasn't able to get the 2.40 update and am pretty bummed about that. Honestly if Sony had grabbed the English versions of some of the PS1 games on the Europe store or secured some older demos people would have felt a lot better. Ah well, details are below:
