Well as in the lyrics from the old TV show The Facts of Life, 'You take the good, you take the bad', this week there is a lot of good, but there are annoying DLC packages that take the shine away.
Burn Zombie Burn arrives this week and it looks like a blast. Playing a lot like Smash TV you get to destroy, burn and blow up zombies as they come in waves. A new Worms title arrives on the PSN as well, featuring a quirky single player campaign and online multiplayer it looks like another worthwhile entry.
There are lots of DLC this week, the best of the bunch in my opinion being the HIGHLY anticipated Ten album from Pearl Jam on Rock Band. I have been anticipating this DLC for some time. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny. There is a large amount of Resistance 2 DLC; unfortunately it is all for sale. Resistance: Fall of Man had frequent free DLC and it is a shame the trend has stopped. Regardless the map pack looks good, but the skins are a travesty considering how few are in the retail game.
Yet another Pain character is offered as well as, unbelievably, more Disgaea 3 characters and modes. There have been at least 20+ items for this game so far. A free Tom Clancy’s EndWar map pack and some Guitar Hero and Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore 2 songs round out the DLC this week.
Multimedia is a mixed bag as well. More 'premium' themes are on display, but do we really need more scantily clad girly themes? I guess somebody thinks so. Many videos and wallpapers are available as well with a new edition of Pulse on the PSN this week.
