A great week on the PSN this week! We have games, demos and add-ons that are sure to please. The first big entry this week is Noby Noby Boy, a highly-anticipated game from the creator of Katamari Damacy. Early reviews on the game call it magnificent, uncut lunacy and glorious! It is a great price at $4.99, much better then the second PopCap game, Zuma, priced at $9.99 and taking up the enormous space of 19Mb on your PS3 hard drive.
Three demos this week on the North American store; Zuma is a maybe but Afro Samurai and LocoRoco 2 are no-brainers as far as I am concerned. Downloaded and installed already! If you have a European account, you should log into their store as well and download the Resistance Retribution demo that features the Resistance 2 PS3 interaction modes.
Add-ons are a big highlight this week with the Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars making an appearance. Individually, they are a little steep, but the pack with all the cars is a decent price at $7.99. Frankly, I am most excited for the Jansen 88 (Back to the Future car), which most excites everyone else? Not all DLC is created equally though; I am surprised to see a cheat pack for Burnout Paradise to unlock all the cars ... pretty disappointing.
The rest is a mix of good and bad with the Mirror's Edge, High Velocity Bowling, and Naruto updates being either worthwhile for a cost or free. The Street Fighter, LittleBigPlanet, and Skate 2 packs being neither worthwhile or free. Of course, we have some pretty generic Guitar Hero and Rock Band tracks to download if you are so inclined.
Finally, we have a metric ton of media to enjoy with movie trailers, game videos, wallpapers and themes to try out. The Killzone 2 and Red Alert 3 trailers are very noteworthy and should be downloaded post haste. Below is a list of all the items added to this week's PSN update.
