Stop whatever you are doing and run home, turn on your PS3 and download the Heavy Rain demo. This highly anticipated game from Quantic Dreams is launching soon and a great demo is available for your playing pleasure!
Heavy Rain is the biggest news this week, but there are some other things to enjoy. There are three new PSOne classics in the form of Dirt Jockey (this was a game?), Populous: The Beginning and Sim Theme Park. We also have some PSP bundles featuring some marginal games on the platform (Crazy Taxi 1 & 2 and Sonic Rivals). A new PSP Mini, Spaceball: Revolution, is joined by demos for the interesting looking ecoshift and the well received SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 game.
Plenty of add-ons in their typically free and not so free variations. Of note is the full bundle of DLC for Burnout Paradise at the terrific price of $19.99 as well as a Valkyria Chronicles DLC bundle. Some not so attractively priced add-ons for Dante's Inferno, LittlebigPlanet, Dark Void and BlazBlue are also available.
On the multimedia front there are a plethora of videos available as well as some great free and premium themes. What is surprising is the Wipeout HD dynamic theme which is free on the UK PlayStation store and $2.99 in North America. Follow my lead and create a UK account to get this great theme gratis.
