PC Game Review: Hidden Expedition - Titanic

Have you ever scoured the house looking for something, only to find it's been right in front of your nose all along? If so, you get the gist of Hidden Expedition: Titanic.

As the story goes, The Hidden Expedition Adventure League has recently uncovered an exciting fact; A crown belonging to the Queen was being transported to an exhibit in New York aboard the Titanic on it's final voyage. Your mission is to explore the wreckage, collect antique artifacts for the Titanic Museum, and to uncover clues which will lead you to the location of the Queen's crown.

The game consists of 14 dive expeditions covering 17 different areas of the ship. Each expedition involves searching two to three rooms where you are given a list of artifacts to retrieve for the museum.

Sound easy? Well, not exactly. The items are often camouflaged so well, you could be staring right at them and still not see them. Once you think you've located an artifact on your list, you click on it to send it to the surface. Click on the wrong item, and it'll cost you ten seconds of oxygen. If you find yourself at your wit's end, there is a Hint option which will reveal the item's location, but using it will cost you a valuable two minutes of air.

You are given from 20 to 30 minutes of oxygen for each dive, depending on the level you're on. Thirty minutes may seem like a long time, but believe me, there are rooms where you'll scour every inch of that screen, over and over again, and still not be able to find an item. Each room is literally packed to the rafters with beautifully detailed objects, either placed or designed to fool the eye.
