PC Game Review: Coffee Tycoon

This is yet another Tycoon game for the PC, and it lets gamers run a coffee business. Think you can do it better than those managing the famous coffee shop with the green and white logo? Coffee Tycoon from Jamopolis Interactive and Anarchy Enterprises gives players the opportunity to manage a chain of coffee shops complete from naming the shop and the location (New York, Miami, Chicago, L.A., and Seattle) to picking the store's style, which ranges from classy to fun.

The player begins with a single shop and must determine how to distribute the resources among employees, managers and executives. Employees bring in the money, managers do the marketing and bring in customers, and executives open more stores. The goal to win the game? Bring in one million customers and you're king of the coffee world.

You get results at the end of the day so you know what changes to make in tweaking employee distribution, add the menu (if you have enough money - this is a rarity) and make upgrades (again, if you have the money).

The challenge is finding a balance between making lots of dough while opening new stores and bringing in more customers. A player moves to the next level of play after reaching a specific number of customers as indicated next to the happy face. The first number indicates how many customers you have and the second number tells you how many customers you need to move to the next level. The dollar sign obviously tells you how much money you have and the house icon is the number of stores you own.

I assume the feedback helps you with the menu, but this opportunity rarely comes, as money is often scarce. The game starts with two customers, but as you get busier, more appear.
