PAX East 2010: An Awkward Hour with Rock Band Designers Liveblog

Part of: PAX East 2010

PAX East is a three-day game festival for tabletop, videogame, and PC gamers. We call it a festival because in addition to dedicated tournaments and freeplay areas we've got nerdcore concerts, panel discussions, and an exhibitor hall filled with booths displaying the latest from top game publishers and developers. Even with all this amazing content the best part of PAX East is hanging out with other people who know their shit when it comes to games.

Have you ever wished to be locked in a room with the design team behind the Rock Band games and ask them anything? Well, now's your chance! Armed solely with a laptop filled with behind the scenes movies and embarrassing pictures, the team of designers behind the Rock Band games will answer your questions and reveal some of the reasons for why they made things in various ways.

The panel will be a dynamic and entertaining one as they discuss the upcoming games in the series as well as the landmark previous iterations. The team is a unique blend of personalities and the conversation promises to be fun and of course awkward!

This Liveblog will follow the panel hosted by Dan Teasdale [Lead Designer, Harmonix Music Systems, Inc], Sylvain Dubrofsky [Senior Designer, Harmonix Music Systems, Inc], Brian Chan [Senior Designer, Harmonix Music Systems, Inc], Casey Malone [Designer, Harmonix Music Systems, Inc]. The Liveblog will begin at 10:00 AM EST on Sunday March 28th.
