Game du Jour Deals: February 12 through February 18 - Page 3

Part of: Game du Jour Deals

Smileys, created by OvoGame, is a very simple puzzle game. The object of the game is to line up three smiley faces in a row by color until you deplete a certain number of colors to advance to the next level. There are seven different colors in total. Level one starts out by having you get rid of three smileys of each color. Every level after that, the amount of smileys you must rid of grows.

There are two modes to Smileys: Standard and Challenge. Challenge is defiantly the most fun of the two. Challenge mode has you completing certain tasks to gain access to the next level, like destroying all smileys of one color, and getting a smiley that is on the top row to hit the bottom of the screen.

Smileys is a very fun and addictive game that anyone can get used to. It's so simple, a toddler could be able to play it. There is nothing really negative I can say about Smileys at all. The music is not appealing, but the game play is just so fun and addictive, it is easy to ignore it. I recommend downloading this game for a good time waster.

Bubble Blitz
Writer: Kaonashi

bubble_blitzBubble Blitz is a fun little time-waster that's very pleasing to the eyes. You're presented with a grid of pastel-colored bubbles, and the goal is to earn points by popping two or more of the same color that are next to each other. Naturally, you get more points by popping large groups of bubbles.

Bubble Blitz offers unending gameplay. If you clear a column, more bubbles appear from the left. Your game lasts as long as indicated on your given timer. However, you can increase your playing time every time you pop a group of bubbles. The greater the bubble group you pop, the more time you earn to play. The game ends if you run out of time, or if there are no more available bubble groups.

Each 150 points you earn, you get a bomb, which you can use to blow up any one bubble. For example, if you've got a potential chain of four pink bubbles but there's a green one separating them, use the bomb to get rid of that green bubble.

I wish however, that the bombs blew up more bubbles at a time, because getting rid of one pesky bubble doesn't really do much to help you. And while I'm at it, having a "scramble" option could be useful as well, the penalty being that using it costs a few precious seconds from your timer.
