Rumor has it that today is Friday. If true, then it's time for Friday Flash Games. I can neither confirm nor deny the rumor, however.
Every Friday I present three (or more) games, all of which depend on the Adobe Flash Player. Just follow the links in your web browser, and start playing! You can play them all today, or spread them out over the weekend, or visit previous Fridays and play them entirely out of order. It's up to you.
I'll let you know when there is music or sound, so you can adjust your volume before waking up your coworkers.
This week, an eclectic mix.
It's hard to describe Rose & Camellia, you'll really need to play it. The backstory is all in Japanese, so I'll rely on a Japanese-reading, English-writing reader to fill us in, but the gameplay involves one woman (you) working her way through a list of other women, engaging each of them in a slapfight.
Yes, a slapfight.
Fortunately, the control is via the mouse, and the few cues you need to play are in both English and Japanese. The game prompts you when it's time to attack, at which point you click "attack" on the right and swipe the mouse right to left to slap your opponent. Repeat this as quickly as you can, as many times as you can, until you see that your opponent is about to slap you back. At this point you click "evade" on the left and swipe left to right. Assuming you've timed it well and successfully evaded the oncoming slap, you'll get a chance for a counter-strike using the familiar right-to-left swipe.
It's actually easier than it sounds, since the buttons tend to be where your mouse already is.
There is music and sound, and I would try to play this using a trackpad. Trackpad users tend to suffer a little bit with most games, but they'll suffer a lot with this one.

I guess I'm whining, but I'm still sad that iPhone doesn't do flash (yet).
Time to switch to the MacBook, I guess.
