Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories PS2 Port To Cost Lower Than PSP Verion
The first PSP to PS2 port, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, has been announced by Take-Two games to cost lower than $49.99, the current price of the game on the PSP.
Many people have purchased the PSP to play this game, and many have been disappointed at the announcement that Take-Two has made about Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories coming to the PS2, after paying $249 for the PSP system.
Paul Eibeler has hinted that the PS2 version of the game will not be much different than the PSP version. “We’ve delivered unprecedented and tremendous value to the consumer, in terms of the size of the actuality and the scope [of the game],” he said. “We’ve been very, very successful at full price on the PSP, which is a different type of consumer. We’ve delivered a new game for the PSP, that’s a $249 purchase, and we’re looking at lower pricing on Liberty City Stories for the console, which is a $149 or below purchase.”
While the exact price has not been revealed yet, there is some speculation that the price will be some where between $19.99 and $29.99.
