“Hemingway wrote it. I fear that that is my romantic destiny: To be a broken hearted idiot. Nevertheless .. It is time for me and my hormones to seek appropriate feminine fellowship.”Opus

One plus one equals….

IT IS more commonly known as love at first sight, but for a group of scientists it is better expressed as (((F + Ch + P) / 2) + ((3(C + I)) / 10)) / ((5 – SI)2 + 2).

The complicated formula, designed by University of Edinburgh mathematician Al Phillips, psychologist Dr David Lewis and Cosmopolitan magazine’s relationship expert Flic Everett, is designed to reveal whether a Valentine’s Day blind date will be a soulmate or not.”

How long does it take to fall in love?

“It seems that the heart wants what the heart wants — and it can figure it out fairly quickly, according to evolutionary psychologists at the University of Pennsylvania. The researchers studied dating data from 10,526 anonymous participants of HurryDate, a company that organizes “speed dating” sessions, and found rare behavioral data on how people genuinely act in dating situations” Greg Lester – Medical News Today  More

‘Cos he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good……

If Necco ever happened to make this line of Sweethearts I myself would surely buy a few cases and well, hand them out like
candy……….

post script………
The New England Confectionary Company (NECCO, now you know where that silly name comes from) has been pumping out the same candy conversation hearts you see today since 1902. Now they originated in 1866 when Daniel Chase, brother to one of NECCO’s founders, came up with the idea but at first, the candies where in various shapes and the sayings printed on paper.
Over 8 million of these little babies are sold every year during the valentine season making these candies one of the best read pieces of literature out there, right behind fortune cookies.
Want your own private run of these hearts?? No problem but you need to pony up for an entire production run and what the hell are you going to do with 1.7 million pieces of candy??
