Core Fusion Lean & Toned is the latest total body workout DVD from Acacia and is due to be released on May 4, 2010. Fred DeVito and Elisabeth Halfpapp lead Core Fusion: Lean & Toned with exercises from their Core Fusion classes which are hugely popular with celebrities like Heidi Klum, Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, and Ivanka Trump.
Core Fusion: Lean & Toned is a workout DVD that contains five 10-minute exercise segments that can be done together or done separately as time and ability allow. Each separate 10-minute segment focuses on a different part of the body including the Upper Body, Thighs, Flat/Round Back, Gluteal, and Pretzel Core Toner. The total running time is 55 minutes. Bonus features include a five-minute bonus stretch and sample workouts from Exhale: Core Fusion Thighs & Glutes and Shiva Rea: Creative Core Abs.
Core Fusion: Lean & Toned is a combination yoga and cardio workout. The workout will increase your heart rate which helps you burn calories and lose weight as you tone your muscles. Your muscles will be longer and leaner by following the moves designed to stretch and sculpt.
To follow Core Fusion: Lean & Toned, you will need an exercise mat, exercise band, and a set of hand weights. Some of the exercises have you sitting against a wall with your back flat so finding an area in your home that's set up this way will be helpful as well. Some of the exercises have you holding on to a chair for balance.
All in all, this is a great intermediate workout DVD that will allow you to focus on the specific area of your body you most want to work. Or, if you want overall toning, you can do the entire 55-minute workout together for a greater impact. The DVD is set up so you can pick and choose as you like. Many of the moves require a lot of flexibility but thankfully there are modifications for those who aren't able to follow the moves exactly. I still felt the burn in my muscles even following the modifications.
