>kable< So, I turned on the TV today...
ill-prepared for what greeted me...
Thousands of protestors lining the catacombs of New York City...
The mood was tense...
The Placard nirvana in full flow...
Anti-Bush sentiment-flying-every-which-fucking-way...
Thank god for the masses I say...
Thank god for the 'silent majority'...
Rising against the tide of dictatorship...

Thank god for a reason to finally believe... in hope again...

< vOyA > Yes yes. You know, some believe the catacomb is the subconscious mind itself. Imagine that. All those protestors finally reclaiming that damn public space again. Shifting the attempted restoration of NYC post-9/11 beneath that ominous amber glare > the flailing reconstituted World Power bubble pre-9/11, back into the realms of PURE national consciousness.

Ahhh > what a strange strange move Mr President.
Empowering the “people” like that. But more so >
endangering the “people” like that.

I mean, seriously, this is the most expensive national convention in American history. 18 months in the planning > (US)$60+ million to ward off terrorists and “troublemakers”. Land, sea, air >>> every fucking thing barricaded, watched, GUARDED.

But is anybody really safe, Mr President?

>kable< Dear Mr President ...
Gabe Hudson was on the money, honey ...
indeed..
It's an open-letter to you, Mr Bush...

Either way, the enemy {apparently} is no longer cloaked in the burqa of 'jihad'...
It's within everyday Americans-with-an-axe-to-grind...
It's within the boiling rage of the ' faceless' majority'...
>> launching ‘anti-administration’ sentiments like rocket-propelled-grenades >>

Sick of the lies…
Sick of living in fear…

Yes…Yes…
Demonstrations…
Giving a voice to the ‘casualties’ of the Bush-war-machine…
Damn politicians…
Damn-used-car-bloody-salesmen…

How dare they put a full-stop on our tomorrow…

< vOyA > Yes, please tell me > “Who are the REAL terrorists?” Damn those placard-carriers don’t even need slogans. No need to dumb down anything when you’re those supposed “America haters” talking about > life and death and threat. And terrorism…

I remember … online one day, in a chat room. Bombs just exploding in Iraq. This global chat was bristling > opinions firing onto my screen faster than I could scroll. Outrage. Terror. Fear. Right and Wrong. Morals, Philosophies > Arguments. But, well, nothing from the Americans.

Nothing at all.

And then, suddenly > “I don’t have a right to an opinion.” For a moment, the scroll stopped. This American finally writing words that nobody could believe.

I mean, what’s happened to that golden land
of the BRAVE and FREE?

>kable< IT NEVER EXISTED...
I think Americans are terrified of being labeled... 'un-American'...
To criticize their beloved President is to criticize the very cloth that they're cut from...
But, hey...this isn't about the stars and stripes bringing a patriotic tear to the eye...
It's about the cold and stark fear that >submerges > them each waking moment…
The crackdown’s begun….
The surveillance net is all around..
Slowly…but…surely…
Draconian actions are now enslaving a nation…
And I feel for those > Americans …
I truly do…

I feel their damn shame…
I feel their damn fear…

Trickling…
Trickling…

I feel their damn polarity > tearing them apart…

< vOyA > Tearing us all apart. Honestly it is.

To be alive > is to be polarised. The assault on the individual, the expectation to conform in this forlorn, digitized world no matter what > so damn overwhelming.

This terror of anticipation. The horror of the dreaded event. Or maybe, just for now, that Hitchcockean mind-vision of continual suspense … where everything is wound so fucking tight that it’s really hard to live and breathe without something inside just retreating > away from our own humanity.

To just detach.

Tell me … what should we believe in?
Society is such a lethal predator >
and the mind can be such a hard place to live in.

Lose that sense of self and well,
that mask of sanity may just slip >>>

“The hand of God is guiding the affairs of this nation,” says Mr President.
WTF??? Is this guy serious?

>kable< Absolutely...
With every fiber of his being...
With every breath in his body...
So help me, god...

Some scientist believe that we evolve religious belief as a survival-mechanism...
And that as human beings we're naturally "hardwired" to the very subscription of belief "..

It's sobering...
Meglomanical...
So... eyes wide open >>dragging us deeper and deeper into the new Dark Ages…
There’s this haunting image…
Part of the protest in NYC…
It was called < eyes wide open >
It exhibited pairs of soldier’s boots > empty > blank white cards tagged to their memory…
These boys leave in a blur of glory…
And return in wooden boxes…
Shielded from our daily ‘newsfeed’ lens…
Shielded from the glory and gratitude that they so richly deserve…

Gee, thanks Mr President…
You’re a swell, kinda guy …
I only hope that you can sleep at night…

< vOyA > As a member of the human species >
well, I can hardly sleep at all. Right now, that’s the truth. This sense of helplessness, the globe’s anonymous masses just flung about by the CONTROLLING FEW … where’s the peace in that Mr President? Where’s the peace for those moms and dads frantically buying their soldier-children Inceptor vests your nearly half-trillion-dollar military budget can’t seem to afford?

And this > only the tip of some horrifying truth.
I mean, will we ever know to what extent this War Of Terror has wrought upon us all?

…Georges Bataille > you’re so right …
” … by far the most terrifying things are those which elude us.”

< to be continued ... of course >
