Elvin Bishop's Red Dog Speaks is #1 at blues radio this week...

Elvin Bishop #1 At Blues Radio; Bob Corritore’s Harmonica Blues, Albert Castiglia’s Keepin On Rise

We have a new #1 this week.  Blues-rock veteran Elvin Bishop’s Red Dog Speaks has been all over the charts since its debut earlier this year and this week it knocks Pinetop & Willie from the top spot at claims the throne as the #1 album at blues radio for the week.

We’ve also got a big chart move for Bob Corritore’s Harmonica Blues in its first week of release.  Harmonica Blues is a compilation of sorts, chronicling 40 years of playing that blues harp with just about everybody (names ranging from Honeyboy Edwards, Pinetop Perkins, Louisiana Red, Koko Taylor, and Robert Lockwood Jr. just to name a few!).  If you love classic, traditional blues harp stylings, this is an album for you.  Another big mover this week is Albert Castiglia’s Keepin On.  It has risen a little further up the chart each week since its release.

Moreland & Arbuckle’s Flood had disappeared from the charts for awhile after a very strong showing for weeks after its February release.  We also have the return of Peter Parcek’s The Mathematics Of Love to the chart.  A few other titles I’d like to highlight as you’ll be hearing more about them in the coming days and weeks: Teeny Tucker’s Keeping The Blues Alive, Karen Lovely’s Still The Rain, Walter Trout’s Common Ground, and Jimmy Vaughan Plays Blues, Ballads, & Favorites.
