The Mistress FilesTiffany Reisz has put together this collection of short stories to appease her fans as they await the next instalment in The Original Sinners series, The Mistress.

The Mistress Files is a series of “files” on her clients, which are written from the perspective of Nora Sutherlin, Reisz’s main character. Nora has been asked to pen a manual to help train other dominatrixes, but it ends up being a series of tales of her sexy adventures with favourite clients.

We hear the stories of a female submissive who can’t orgasm, a male dominant too scared to indulge in kink with his blind wife, a rock star with a kinky secret, a vanilla gay woman with an embarrassing problem and a male switch who is more than meets the eye.

It’s very easy to forget that Nora Sutherlin is a fictional character, penned by an author. The stories are so absorbing, feel real, the characters are fascinating and rounded, and each tale is, of course, super hot.

I wouldn’t expect any less from Reisz. The only major characters that appear in these tales are Nora, of course, and Kingsley Edge, who asked Nora to write the files, and peers over her shoulder while she is doing so.

I don’t want to give too much away, but I really liked how each story wasn’t all about bondage, or domination, or submission, but was about characters with real problems that were looking for a way to solve them. Some tales are more hardcore than others, but they give a real insight into Nora Sutherlin’s world, and add that bit much richness to an already excellent series of books by the author. I’d wholeheartedly recommend giving this book a peek.

If you’ve read the other Original Sinners books, then I don’t need to tell you, but if you want something shorter to give you a taste before checking out the others, then it’s definitely worth reading this novella. Good stuff!
