The Long Con by Lori Toland is a m/m erotic romance. It tells the story of British Agent Nathaniel Bradley. He’s tasked with retrieving a stolen Faberge egg, which is priceless, and also belongs to his grandfather’s wife, giving him a personal connection to the case. After tracking the stolen goods all the way to a group of criminals in New York, Bradley infiltrates a ring of con artists and gets sucked into the role of a high priced prostitute.

As he works to get back the egg without blowing his cover or putting himself in further danger, he decides the best way is to seduce the heirloom’s potential buyer. However, Tony Terranova, Jr is the heir to a notorious mafia dynasty and Nathaniel knows that he could be in extreme danger if anything goes wrong.

However, as the two men explore their sexual relationship, they quickly discover how well they complement each other. Nate’s a natural top, and Tony is incredibly submissive. They become wrapped up in one another, but as Nate comes closer to solving his case, he realises that the Faberge egg isn’t the only thing at stake… so is his heart.

The Long Con is a fab read. It took me a little while to get into it, but once I did I really enjoyed all the twists and turns, the kinky sex and the relationship between the two guys. There were several surprises, which I loved, and the ending left me with a smile on my face, and wanting to know what happened next. Well written, with an interesting plot and serious heat, The Long Con is the perfect read for gay erotic romance lovers.
