Over the Line is book three in Sierra Cartwright’s Mastered series of BDSM novels. I read and very much enjoyed the first two, so I will definitely be following this series.
So far, all the books centre around the Den, a place where kinksters go to party in a safe environment. Over the Line is no exception. It tells the story of Michael Dayton, a dom who visits the Den and sees a smoking hot blonde saunter past and is immediately hooked. He’s warned off her by more than one person, but somehow this just intrigues him further.
Sydney Wallace is the woman in question, a submissive who believes she’s not a submissive, just a girl who likes to have sexy fun with a healthy dollop of pain. She’s not looking for anything permanent, just the occasional scenes with different doms, which means she gets the sexual pleasure without emotional entanglements.
Both Michael and Sydney have been hurt in the past, so a night of erotic fun and nothing more is something that’s on the menu for both of them. But as they play, they’re surprised by each other, and quickly realise there’s something different between them, something that could risk their hearts as well as their bodies. They’re just so compatible sexually, with her turning him on like never before and him giving her everything she needs, even without her knowing she needed it, that they become addicted to the experience, to the sex. Soon they’re in severe danger of crossing the lines they’ve drawn to protect themselves — and once they do, there’s no going back.
Ms. Cartwright has penned another excellent novel here. She skilfully creates believable, flawed characters, ones that the reader cares about and roots for. I very much enjoyed the storyline of Over the Line, as well as the characters, the setting, the incredibly hot sex, the emotion, and the humour thrown in there, too. This was another great addition to the Mastered series. I’d definitely recommend BDSM erotic romance fans to check out these books.Powered by Sidelines
