Liking it Ruff by Mina Carter caught my eye immediately because of the hint at a play on words in the title, and the girl’s outfit on the cover. A read of the blurb and I was intrigued.

The book is about Naz, a bounty hunter, and Tannick Ruff, an Alpha weredog. They’re working together on a case to rescue a girl that’s been kidnapped. Only the kidnapper is somewhat unusual — he runs a club where performers have sex and people watch. Naz and Tannick must infiltrate the place and pass information to the rest of the rescue crew they have waiting outside — even if this means performing to the crowd.

On the surface, there’s no love lost between the pair. Yet when they find themselves naked and pretending to get down and dirty for an audience, the urges they’ve been pushing away get much more difficult to hide.

Liking it Ruff was a great read. Mina Carter has a knack for throwing the reader right into the middle of the action and making it damn hot. This story is no exception. There’s a lot going on, both between the characters and in their world and there’s definitely more of the tale to be told. But as a standalone sexy short read, Liking it Ruff is a yummy one, particularly if you like elements of the paranormal thrown in.
