A Cut-Throat BusinessI really enjoyed the previous two books in this series, Chastity Flame and Lush Situation, so was excited to pick up this third title, A Cut-Throat Business. At their heart is Chastity Flame, a secret operative, working for a company in London. This is where the majority of the action takes place in this novel.

It tells the story of a serial killer stalking London’s streets, luring women into darkened alleys and slitting their throats. He’s a “somebody” in society, with a family that will protect him. Chastity is tasked with finding out who he is, and how to bring him down. A job she’s more than happy to take on.

The book follows the action from London across the globe, as Chastity tracks down the evil killer, while at the same time trying to sniff out an ex-colleague that has it in for her, too. It’s a dangerous time for Chastity, but fortunately she has her skills, talents and feminine wiles to keep her safe, and her delectable boyfriend, Damien, to distract her from the more unpleasant parts of life.

Overall, an excellent addition to the series. I very much enjoy K.A. Laity’s writing style and humour, and although the book doesn’t have the hot sex scenes of the previous two, there’s still plenty of sizzling tension. An action-packed thriller that I’d recommend to anyone looking for an exciting read that’s a bit different.
