eBay Buys Stake in Meetup.com and The Daily Music and Tech News

eBay Buys 10% of Meetup.com

eBay has bought a 10% stake in web community site Meetup.com. eBay will use their stake to create communities of local buyers and sellers within its members. Meetup is planning on using the proceeds of the sale to hold regional conferences. eBay is one of six that have bought into Meetup.com.

Courtney Love may sell Nirvana Rights

Courtney Love has said that she has pondered selling a quarter of her stake in the Nirvana catalog. Love currently shares control of the catalog with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, Nirvana’s surviving members.

H.I.M. announce North American Tour

Finnish band H.I.M. have announced 22 North American tour dates. The dates include two previously announced performances (the Bamboozle Festival and the Sasquatch Festival). The tour will begin on May 2nd in Florida and end on June 8th in Las Vegas. Aiden have been signed to open the shows. Among the cities the band will play are Chicago, Toronto, St. Louis, El Paso, and New Orleans.[ADBLOCKHERE]
