Scheduled to be released April 17, 2007 is Spongebob Squarepants Friend or Foe. This DVD will feature seven new full-length episodes of the hit television show and includes some wonderful bonus features.

The stories see our porous main character questioning his skill as a fry cook, afraid of the dark, learning the disturbing morning habits of a best friend and discovering the root of the feud between Mr. Krabs and Plankton. Children and adults will laugh out loud at the crazy slapstick antics of the one who lives under the sea. All seven episodes will keep children entertained throughout the disc's 84 minutes time and time again.

The bonus features include a photo album of Krabs and Plankton when they were younger and is sure to have children oohing and ahhing. The original uncut animatic is interesting for an adult but will more than likely not hold the attention of the younger crowd, although with the number of older fans the show has, it is sure to be a hit.

The DVD comes packaged with outstanding artwork that has become expected (by me at least) of Nickelodeon DVDs. Recorded in Dolby Digital, this disc has excellent sound and also excellent video.

The only episode that I thought was lacking was "Waiting". I found it to be a bit annoying but other than that I enjoyed this DVD. Fans of Spongebob will be thrilled to see Patchy the Pirate leading them through this nautical adventure. The antics of Patchy and his trusty albeit insulting parrot, Potty, move the disc along between episodes. The antics of Patchy (played by the voice of Spongebob, Tom Kenney) are every bit as funny as the cartoons.

This release is sure to be huge hit for Spongebob fans everywhere.
