The Alien VS Predator Exclusive Ultimate Showdown Collector's Set is a great Best Buy exclusive. You get 15 discs of Alien and Predator action which includes all seven movies in two-disc special editions, the four Aliens films, the two Predator flicks and the first Alien vs Predator movie in an unrated edition along with an additional Alien disc. Now while not all of these movies are gems, (Alien 3, Predator 2 and Alien vs Predator come to mind) you do get Alien, Aliens, and Predator which are three of the best sci-fi films of the past 30 years.

But don't buy this just for the films. What's really great about this Collector's set is you get exclusive Alien and Predator figurines locked in combat, which has the Alien injured by the Predator's staff. A nifty feature is that the figurines light up, and the Alien blood is then shown as an eerie green, just like in the movies when an Alien is cut. What I really like about the figurines is that the base of each is hollow and that's where the DVDs are stored. The Alien figurine contains nine discs (the entire Alien saga) while the Predator figurine contains six discs (the two Predator movies and the first Alien vs Predator flick).

This set also features an exclusive AvP comic book: Sand Trap, which was written and drawn for this set alone. It's a cool story, where a desert platoon accidentally ends up in a battle between the Aliens and Predator, where this region is a favored Predator hunting ground. This comic won't be reprinted anywhere else, and it was a worthy addition to the Alien vs Predator comic series.

Still not sold on this collection? Well it's limited to 10,000 and in addition to it's exclusivity, it comes with two Movie Money Certificates to see Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem – in theaters December 25, 2007, and this film looks to be a vast improvement over the first.

If you're a fan of these movies, and want a cool collectible to display, get out to Best Buy before they're all gone.

    Nevermind, I just found them.

Im so confused. I just opened mind, but there are no movies. Do they come inside?

  • This is a pretty cool set, but I already have all the movies and cannot justify the cost at this point.
I do like that the US is starting to get some of these cool packages which used to only exist overseas. (Japan gets some awesome special packages)
