Estranged Libertine Pete Doherty has written a new song with side-project
Babyshambles in which he lays into bandmate Carl Barat and Libertines manager Alan McGee for chucking him out of the band, again.

The new track, which is already on line, is called ‘Gang Of Gin’ and features the lyrics: “I’ll tell you my story / The treachery, it bores me /Carl and McGee both promised me / It would not happen this way / Carl iskept sedated / The frontman elevated.”

He also finds time to slag off the music industry in general, singing: “In this industry of Fools / Musclemen and ghouls / If you’re not a puppet or a muppet / Then you might as well call it a day.”

As previously reported, Babyshambles will kick off their UK tour at Brighton Concorde 2 on 16 Sep. Meanwhile The Libertines release their new single ‘What Became Of The Likely Lads’ on 18 Oct.

..and so sink the Libertines into the seas of never-was-dom. Famous in the UK bands that self destruct or break up just after gaining fame in the US are a dime a dozen.
