Why Are People So Mean to Gwyneth?

Part of: An Astrologer's Look at the News

The Huffington Post did a feature on the UK Harper's Bazaar interview with Gwyneth Paltrow. One highlight was Gwyneth's complaint that people were "mean" to her regarding her website GOOP.

So far, the Huffington Post feature has generated 1,159 (published) comments. Some of the comments were supportive but a lot of them were quite negative. People hastened to point out that she was "pretentious", "a snob", "a narcissist" and "stupid".

What is it about her that rubs so many people the wrong way? As an astrologer, I'm always curious about what's going on in the charts of people who make an impact. I looked at Gwyneth's chart and what caught my attention was Pluto, the planet that rules darkness and destruction.

Pluto, ruler of Scorpio, represents survival, death, re-birth, and instinct. When it is dominant in someone's chart, people can react with hostility. They feel threatened without even knowing why.

Gwyneth's Sun (ego) is in Libra which is a social, people-pleasing sign. But in her chart, Pluto is sitting very close to her Sun. So the agreeable way in which she projects herself will always have an undertone of Plutonian energy. Pluto transforms, so when it is directed at other people they often feel as if they are being coerced into doing or believing something.

Her website is a perfect example. GOOP is light and airy with its articles on parenting, detoxes, and French beauty products. Not much there to get people riled up. But if you Google it, most of the reviews and feedback are downright hostile.

At least they aren't indifferent to her.

It's good to know that there are still people in the world courageous enough to stick up for the rich and famous.

"Pluto, the planet that rules darkness and destruction."

Pluto's not a planet any longer. Update your charts accordingly

In Illinois, Pluto is still a planet.(The discoverer was from Illinois, and they have declared planet-hood for the space object which has moons, and an atmosphere.

Well, she did name her kids Apple & Moses. I think they will probably hate her more than anyone on the internet ever could.

Though,I'm not going to comment on the rest of this useless article.

I was looking for page 2 of this "article" when, after a few checks, I realized this was it. Seriously? What a waste of 60 seconds of my day, this is nonsense.
