There are still almost two hours to vote in the San Francisco election. So far, turnout is low (recall fatigue and we'll get to vote for the third time in December in the runoff).
It should have been over tonight. San Francisco was supposed to implement instant runoff voting, but the elections department and Kevin Shelly dragged their feet. I could have voted for Matt or Tom for first, and the other for second, but now I have to choose between the two.
I'm going to vote in a few minutes and I still haven't decided.
I'll be blogging at TigerBeat and posting photos when light permits here from parties. If for some reason I can't update my blog (I havent' tried posting to typepad from my treo), I'll just post bad photos and update my photoblog at textamerica (which already has lots of election related photos if you page through it).
I'll start updating after I see They Might be Giants at A Clean Well Lighted Place for Books.
It looks like the Guardian is doing live election coverage (if I were still online editor, there would be stuff posted by now). I'm not as sure they will have the coverage on a computer at the Ammiano party like last time given the Bruce's endorsement (Frontlines has since reported 11 staffers wanted to endorse Ammiano, 7 to endorse Gonzalez, and only one, Bruce (the publisher) wanted Alioto. That sounds tragically about right, perhaps not exactly right, but close enough to show the rather sad situation).
If you're not in San Francisco, I've written about a bunch of election related documentaries which will be on the Sundance channel tonight and throughout the month (and some are available on DVD).
