Anyone wanting to see how 'real' Avril is should check out and interview she recently did with Alex Zane in Britain. I liked the girl before, but she came off really badly. No sense of humour at all. I have all her albums and I'm disappointed with the 3rd one. In my opinion she's a total sell-out who realised that Kelly was doing what she used to do WAAAAAY better and had to go for something gimmicky. I've heard her live and she's not a patch on Kelly, vocally or performance-wise. Charisma-free, but that's only my opinion.

Okay, first of all.. there's plenty of you that's screaming that Kelly sucks and Avril sucks. Some are even claiming "Girlfriend" is a horrible song. It's time to put this in my own perspective...
Avril doesn't sing horrible in live, she's a great musician and song writer. She has a talented voice and is pretty popular.
Kelly is a wonderful "American Idol," I respect her as much as I respect Avril.
I respect these two artists because they've made it far enough for many people to recoginized them.
I understand if (most) of the people here would prefer one artist from another--but if you're going to do that-- DO NOT discriminate the other side. It shows how much people lack so much maturity these days.
Girlfriend may not be "mature" but it's a song that cracks me up everytime. Though I do find it oddly... different from her other songs--hey--it works.

OK Avril has gotten alot better at singin live remember she was only 17 when she did her first tour she didnt really give a crap it was all about the songs not her voice she grew up for the next tour (which i went to go see in 2005) and she blew me away i thought she was going to be rubbish but i was ablown away to be honest and to anyone who says that Avril doesnt care about her fans i think you should check this out... she was so happy to get that award because her fans voted for her so i think that just proves how much her fans mean to her
As for Kelly shes a good singer but thats about where it finishes i saw her concert on TV a while back and she was awful but just like Avril shes gotten better but Avril still has more talent she can write BETTER songs shes got more stage presence and shes involved with everything when she makes an albumn but most of all shes more fun she doesnt take herself too seriously which is rereshing in an industry full of people who are up themselves =)
