Sharth also scores as the brassy Meg, whose outgoing demeanor conceals her fear of being alone, and Joel Polis does fine double-duty as Meg's awful date and one of Stephen's catty ex-lovers. Harrison has the opportunity to have fun here with his own image as the TV hunk of Trapper John M.D. and For Ladies Only, but he comes off somewhat subdued, and his character's motivations aren't always clear.

The Snake Can plays Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through February 24 at the Odyssey Theatre, 2055 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles. Tickets can be obtained online or by calling 310-477-2055, ext. 2.
