The TASTE AWARDS Committee recently announced the beginning of another awards season, and that the CALL FOR ENTRIES for the 4th Annual TASTE AWARDS is now open.

The TASTE AWARDS are the premier awards celebrating the year's best in Food, Fashion, and Lifestyle programs on Television, in Film, Online, and on Radio.

In addition to the regular list of award categories for best food and fashion programs, the Committee has added seven new categories: Best Travel program, Best Health & Fitness program, Best Branded video promotion or campaign (Ads or Promotions), Best Interactive eBook, Best Beauty program, Best Animation, and Best Mobile Apps.

This year the Best Animation Award has been changed from an Honoree Category to an actual Voted Nomination category. This change allows animated work pertaining to or including either food, fashion, travel, or lifestyle elements to be submitted for review.

The award is named after Seiji Horibuchi, the pioneering founder of Viz Media and the President/CEO of New People. He was one of the first US importers and producers of Anime and Manga, and thanks to his efforts they are now a mainstay of the entertainment industry.

The Awards have included appearances by stars, celebrities, producers, and executives from networks and platforms such as the Food Network, the Style Network, Bravo, the Cooking Channel, TLC, Discovery, Lifetime, E! Entertainment Television, PBS, NBC, ABC, the CW, HGTV, the Travel Channel, HD Net, Hulu, YouTube, Sony Pictures, and more.

Winners from the Third Annual TASTE AWARDS in January 2012 included No Reservations, Drinking Made Easy, Originals with Emeril, Top Chef: Just Desserts, Top Chef, Aarti Party, Project Runway, Extra Virgin, Ludo Bites America, Restaurant Impossible, Check Please – Bay Area, Mexico – One Plate at a Time, My Drunk Kitchen, Without Borders, Style.com, Average Betty, Raising the Bar with Jamie Boudreau, Kung Fu Panda 2, Cuisine Culture, The Chew, Steve Jobs, Debi Mazar, Stanley Tucci, Kaitlyn's Beauty Journal, and Food Wishes.
