The sooner all songs that feature the obligatory mumbling rapper are consigned to the trash bin the better off the music scene will be. I can't watch any music video shows on TV any more because I can't stand Rap. To include it in a piece of music (I don't even consider Rap to BE music) is an obvious ploy to sell a few more units to those who only like Rap. Here are the problems with this album that Beyonce didn't have on the first.Damn near all these songs require you to listen to them over and over again before you can truly say that you like them.That is the problem with most of today's music.It damn near has to be shoved down your throats before you can accept it.Bey did not have that problem with her first record.All the songs hit you the moment you heard them.
Recording this album so quickly was a very bad mistake.I think Bey thought telling the world that would make her look good and like some super artist when all it really did was make her look like she didn't care about her craft.
FYI, going #1 on any side track isn't that great when you are an artist like Beyonce or Janet or Mariah.What real competition did Beyonce have on the r&b charts and it did go #1 because or chart wrangling by her company.
Beyonce needs to make a dent on the Hot 100 to keep her glow.She isn't Keyshia Cole, she is Beyonce.
Like it or not, this body of work is not as good as the original.But with repeated play and good videos, it can still do pretty well on the charts

umm no the song isnt a hit. Yeh the song debuted at #1 in the UK because there was nothing outhere at the moment right now. On the midweeks for next weeks chart it has already fallen to #5 showing it has no longevity whatsoever. Also on it reaching #1 on the physical singles chart here in the US it means nothing because they only sell like 2,000 copies each week (physical single market is dead in the USA) plus her label was selling her singles at .50 cents at a cheap lame attempt to have her reach #1 on the Hot 100 which didnt happen. This is an opinionated article so I have nothing much to say on it. The only things that matter are the album sales, and I do believe that Miss Beyonce' Knowles put together an excellent album. She took a risk which I give her credit for. She also did in weeks what some artists have to take months and years to do. I mean give the girl a break. The album is hot, but some people are acting like this is her last album. IMO, I think this is her best, from the production, lyrics, and vocals, B'day is going to go down in history just like Michael Jackson's Thriller.

This was the funniest blog I've ever read. Deja Vu wasn't horrible, I must admit, but I will say that I am SICK AND TIRED of crazy Beyonce. What's with all the shaking and confused looks in her recent videos. She was all crazy over a man in Deja Vu and being hauled off b/c of a man in Ring the Alarm. Maybe I'd be okay with it if she'd do more than one look. (You've seen it, her shifting her eyes from side to side. And I dare anyone to call that sad, sad look "acting"). I think my problem with her is that she is so overrated and she is SO over the top. Ie: The lying on the floor at the BET Awards (Really Beyonce?, Really??). It's too much Beyonce too fast. The songs and videos being released one on top of the other (the screaming in Ring the Alarm is another example of crazy Beyonce), the Loreal commercials, the magazine covers, the movies!!GIVE ME SOME BREATHING ROOM! I mean if you're a hard core, t-shirt wearing, miss work to watch her perform Beyonce fan, this is great but for those of us who just think she's just cool (and annoying at times) we're ready to cross over to the hater side. It's crazy between Beyonce and the Beyonce clones (Christina Milian etc)it's just too damn much. So I will be watching when her album is released to see what happens. She seems to be the female R. Kelly where no amount of bad press can touch her. But the backlash is building force and it may not strike with this album or with the release of Dreamgirls but it will strike and will strike hard if we are continuously bombarded with this woman.

I really liked a lot of the songs she did with Destinychild. And, I have to admit, I did buy her last album. It was alright, but nothing to scream about. I believe she is a good singer and can perform, well at times. But, in my opinion it seems like she is always hiding something or not really being real with people. I was disappointed when I saw her deja vu. Looking crazy, dancing was all off, beat. And, that afrian dance was horriable. I see she was trying to do something different. And you can really feel her in these songs. Beyonce, I just can feel her right now, the songs arent bad, and they arent really good either. Plus, am tired of hearing all the hip about her, whats that old saying " dont believe the hip" All that glitters isnt Gold" So, I hope people will really be for real, when the give there opinions about her! As far as her winning and oscar dont make me laugh, that will never happen. It has alot of dance tracks on it. It does lack the ballads that many were expecting. She should be at the point where she is singing more beautiful ballads like "Dangerously In Love" . "Deja Vu" really wasn't that great, but she does have some hot tracks on her album that should have come out first. BTW, This is Beyonce doing HER thing. This is not Destiny's Child. It's her right to creative freedom, and it's her f*ckin' birthday gift to herself.
