The real truth is that the institution of divorce has single-handedly destroyed the sanctity of marriage. Almost 60% of all heterosexual marriages today result in divorce. Somehow, radicals will not recognize this statistic. They would rather blame a group of individuals who are not privy to this fact.
There is no causal relationship between the demise of heterosexual marriages and the legalization of homosexual marriages. Maybe the true vice affecting the sanctity of marriage is a problem coming from within the glorious heterosexual "lifestyle." If heterosexuals took the time to contemplate their solemn vows before they spat them off the tip of an ignorant tongue, then "until death to us part" might actually mean something. Rather, the phrase has become a morbid cliche'.
If the President and the Pope and all of their like-minded followers would spend more time on legislating against adultery, then the wonderful world of marriage would not be such a joke. The logical solution would be for legislators to outlaw adultery. However, if our government legislated against adultery with the same vigor it uses to legislates against homosexuality, these same lawmakers would be setting themselves us for the "Hypocrite of the Year" award once they are caught with their own pants down!
So what is the amicable solution? Obviously, I guess the last resort is for heterosexuals to blame the gay community for their own shortcomings.
Do they think we are that ignorant? Do we really buy that argument? Maybe Ann Coulter does. However, people with brains in their heads do not.
What does make sense is that, statistically speaking, men in general have a problem with fidelity. The funny thing is that heterosexuals and homosexual men, taken as a whole, all need to learn a thing or two about making relationships work. The lesbians have obviously cracked this emotional logarithm. Personally, I view fidelity as being a purely private issue. However, the fragile state of the institution of marriage has been made an issue. So, the infidels are now open game.
