So, why are Selena and Miley even funny? The first reason I thought of is that some people are predicting Selena as “the next Miley Cyrus.” This obviously threatens Miley’s Alpha Girl status, and if she has some territorial issues, this could be a problem. Some stars don’t like sharing the spotlight. Miley Cyrus may in fact be one of them. Maybe not.
Miley said this about the Selena situation: "I don’t think there could be a next Miley. I think they should be the next Selena, the next Demi ... [and] make their own way.” Kind of possessive maybe?
I don’t know, though. This may be partially the reason, but I think I know the real reason: Nick Jonas. Nick Jonas — part of the Jonas Brothers trio — is the object of many girls’ affection. I mean, let’s face it, the boy’s a total hottie. Miley and Nick dated for a long time secretly (even though it was painfully obvious the two were dating) and broke up. Now, it’s clear that Selena and Nick are dating.
I also, would like to point out that I told my twin sister this was happening a month ago. Selena was in the new Jonas Brothers music video “Burnin’ Up” playing, yes, Nick’s girl. There was even a photograph of the couple embracing backstage before a Jonas Brothers show.
Judging by the break-up songs on Miley’s new album, Breakout, she definitely had a hard time with the break-up. It’s only natural that she has a problem with Selena Gomez, the girl who threatens to take away Miley’s spotlight.
The feud is definitely heating up, and it won’t be long before we see a big blowout. Fans take cover. This could get ugly - very ugly.

Why are you concerned over Mileys video which is a parody of a video by Selena and Demi where they make fun of each other. Miley just copies what they said. For all you know Selena and Demi Laughed their butts off when they watched Miley and Mandy's video mocking them. I haven't seen or heard any comment from either Selena or Demi saying the were hurt by the video. It's none of your business. If and when Selena or Demi come forward and say that they were hurt by Mileys video then you can take sides. Until then, no one shoud be putting Miley down for her video. That's like putting the cart before the horse. You should not be judge someone for something you think happen, you should wait for the fact to come out, and the fact is niether Selena or Demi have said they were upset or hurt by Miley's video. Selena said today, if she doesn't say it on TV or in a radio interview then it's probally not true. She also said she is not mad or feuding with Miley. In fact she even said she brought Miley's new CD and likes it!!

Perhaps this "feud" is a manufactured one, meant to increase buzz, cause interest, and get everyone who even remotely cares into a lather.
I haven't gotten past those Miley photos yet. I don't mean the one with her in the sheet - I mean the one with her dad. Very spooky and weird.

I think that peoeple just need to leave them alone. Every girl gets mad if the another girl starts to date her old boyfriend that she really liked. Just give them a while and let them work it out themself. Yes nich jonas is hott but I think they will get over it. Plus did you see him in the Disney Channel games. I honestly thought Miley and Mandy's "parody" was pretty funny. I don't think they acted like "drunken idiots" at all. And you said that you felt like Selena and Demi's video made them seem like "“real” teenagers", but to be honest, I thought it made Selena look the opposite. I do think it made Demi seem down-to-earth, but I think Selena went a bit overboard. In my opinion, it proved that she was another "dolled-up celebrity".
I don't always agree with Miley's comments or opinions, but I do think Selena's actions show that there must be hatred between the two, not Miley's.
I don't hate either of the girls, but I do think Miley has more talent than Selena. I don't think Selena should be singing at all. And Miley should't feel threatened by Selena in any way because while Selena is an actress, Miley sings, acts and more. Miley is destined to make it far.
