Review: Macally's Travel Roller

You're headed out the door for a day trip of sales pitches, and you need to take your laptop, iPod, a 500 page textbook of the latest products, along with an extra polo shirt to hit the links. Toss in some Gatorade, your PDA, a portable DVD player and the kitchen sink while's you're at it? Meet the Macally Travel Roller. It dares you to fill it. The Macally Travel Roller is a spacious, durable rolling “office” that will serve the business traveler as an indispensable carryon.

The Travel Roller is made of a waterproof nylon that provides a thick, safe casing for practically anything you could imagine putting in it. A removable, padded laptop case with shoulder strap provides even more protection for your portable computer up to 17”. In addition to room for a laptop, there are ample zippered pockets, compartments and other little areas to put your electronic gadgets. A mesh pocket on the side helps with lugging your water or sports drink around. There’s probably enough room to stuff a change of clothes in the roller as well, if you needed to.

The telescopic arm for rolling is easily hidden when pushed all the way down into the case, and closed with a zipper.

I am constantly looking for an “all in one” travel bag that can handle a lot of personal items, without feeling as though I need to stuff everything in, and hope it all fits. The Travel Roller, at a retail price of $79.00, more than satisfies the needs of any traveler as a complement for a suitcase. Most competing items go for more, or provide less room for a similar price. The Travel Roller has the size, with durable craftsmanship, and the attractive price. I highly recommend this computer case/travel bag.

The travel roller is available at MacMall.
