Review: Antigua Golf Performance Apparel

Part of: Fitness Sanity

As an active woman, I participate in number of different sports. Gone are the days when you tossed on your husband's sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt to exercise. Women today want to look stylish while exercising, whether that means a workout at the gym or a round of golf with colleagues from the office.

Regular street wear isn't appropriate for working out. It doesn't breathe properly and in many cases, it's not designed for comfort and range of motion. Antigua has developed a line of moisture-wicking clothing that is ideal for the active man or woman. Desert Dry and Desert Dry Xtra-Lite feature moisture-wicking with specially constructed ultra-light fabrics for maximum wicking performance and optimum comfort. Wicking keeps the moisture away from your skin and the fabric is extra breathable for comfort. This feature is perfect for active wear when your body heats up either from exercise or from being out in the hot sun all day.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of the Antigua Desert Dry and Desert Dry Xtra-Lite shirts I received. The fabric on both is extremely soft and lightweight, ideal for comfort. I found that the wicking meant the fabric was very breathable, which helped keep me dry even while exercising in the hot summer weather. What really made the shirts from Antigua stand out for me was the stylish accents they included.

The Desert Dry shirt I received was the Women's Tone 100054. It is a very fashionable tonal striped jacquard short sleeve shirt with three-button placket, solid insets, flat knit collar and open sleeves. It's made of 100% polyester and is available in sizes small to extra large. Colors include navy, dark red, mango, dark royal, birch, white, and black.
