Purely American

Last night I sat down to watch a purely American event. It was a thing of beauty, unmarred by the hatred inherent in the events of the day.

It gave me hope that the future holds something positive for all of us.

It was a celebration of our humanity, of our sincere and uplifting outlook for tomorrow's world.

While danger swirls around us, there's a glimmer of hope that the tide is turning....

Boston Red Sox 4, Anaheim Angels 3.

I know how you feel. Life would be so much better without all this political sewage.

ya, i've climbed back onto the danged bandwagon.

...but i've got my kneepads and helmet on.

plus, i'm not really sure the heartbreak of last year can be 'improved' upon, if ya know what i mean.

With the Indians among the streakiest teams of all time this year, it hs made it easy to ignore them for a week or more at a time, then get back into it when they snap back into win mode.

Unless they make some really stupid moves or are incredibly unlucky, next year they should be genuine contenders.

I'm glad to see the Sox challenge the Yankees, but the only reason they aren't as evil as the Antichrists is that they haven't won the World Series since the Ottoman Empire

    Dream on.

Do you know the difference between Fenway Franks and the hot dogs they serve in Yankee Stadium?

They serve the latter in October.
