to hear more about the much maligned Oil-for-Food program that was a part of UN sanctions against Iraq. The US has already come out with one report that suggests that somewhere around $10 billion was skimmed or otherwise abused during the roughly 7 years the program was in operation.
If true, that's roughly $1.43 billion / year. That's equal to the per capita GDP (roughly $1600) contributions of nearly 900,000 Iraqis each year. That's a lot of money.
