Baby seals mourn.
Apparently neither love nor a mutual dislike of fur and landmines were enough to keep Paul McCartney, 63, and Heather Mills, 38, together. In a statement on his site, McCartney said the couple had "found it increasingly difficult to maintain a normal relationship with constant intrusion into our private lives," and that they were going their "separate ways" after four years of marriage.…

we don't have a pre-nup - funny concept

So to the question of will you still need me when i'm 64 the answer is no?

Sahm, pre-nups are probably more important for Billionaires than for hundredaires like me. Actually, I don't think my financial worth is in whole numbers- at least not positive, black, whole numbers.

I am in double-digits at least!

Directed towards Victor - I think it's actually 'James Paul' McCartney - I'm pretty sure that his given name is actually his middle name. If I'm incorrect, you've permission to shove Heather's fake leg down my throat.

I think it's hilarious that Sir Paul has gone on record to hail that Heather is not a gold-digger! I wonder if he'll still feel that way a year from now. I am sick of hearing stars blame the media for their issues! Divorce, child endangerment, violence, wardrobe malfunction - what next, the war in Iraq?? Why not just say that their feelings have changed for one another or that their differing agendas are no longer compatible? Or why not take a page from Tom Cruise and say that their planets fell out of alignment?

Snark, right you are. I inverted it. At least I got the James right, right?
I can just picture it now. Paul's kids told him, "Make sure you have a prenup."
To which he replied, "Prenups? We don't need no stinkin' prenups!"
"But, Daddy," they implored, "she'll get your money."
At this point, Paul probably grabbed his guitar and sang, "I don't care too much for money; money can't buy me love."
I really feel sorry, Sir Paul, that it didn't work out.

When I was a young girl I thought Paul was the most beautiful pop star in the world and I admired his devotion to Linda but Heather is from a different time though she is a nice looking girl.

She was argumentative..ah, he expected her to see his sirness,,no respect from the child bride. Poor thing, locks her out.. what an example for him to present to his child. She is being typlified as a gold digger . what about his kids..I am sure they had some vested interest. After all none of them have an honest job ( no they couldn't have gotten those jobs on the basis of their father). He is being shown for what he is an archaic throwback who did not expect a mind. And he won't be in the poor house.

If he beat her why didn't she just hit him over the head with her fake leg?

It seems obvious to me, while following Heather's recent accusations of abuse, coupled with her history of tantrums and rants against the press or any other person/group viewed as being "against her", that Heather suffers at least from borderline personality disorder. This disorder is characterized by explosions of inner rage, low self esteem and a consumate need to receive attention, negative or otherwise. I hope for Heather, her daughter, as well as Mr. McCartney's sake, that the court would be able to set some limits to her behaviour and protect her child from being raised in an angry, chaotic environment. I find the whole thing quite sad.
