What an amazing chain of blather. May as well jump in with my own contribution. The original post makes a lot of inflammatory statements, but gives no concrete examples to support the argument. For instance, if you think Oprah is full of crap, give us a bullet list of actual examples. Perhaps we will agree with you.
Speculating about someone's sexual orientation while making scathing repartee about her long-time relationship? A pompous and pointless waste of words. I don't live with Oprah, and the state of her personal relationships is her own row to hoe. Very few of us have the idyll going on behind closed doors, eh?
I am disappointed in Oprah THE SHOW as of the past several years, because I think it too often glorifies greed: with the super-giveaway shows, the fashion segments, etc., all interspersed with shows like the terrible problem of personal debt. There is a major inconsistency there. I believe that Oprah the PERSON has done some truly wonderful things for other people. AND I believe she has become immeshed in her own public image. If I had her billions I cannot say the same thing would not happen to me.
People, she is just a human being, like all of us yammering away here. We wake up every morning and stumble through the gift of another day on earth. Sometimes what we do shines, and sometimes it doesn't. I don't know about any of you, but I have too much on my own plate to spend time going off about someone else's plate.

I have read several comments on this blog -some I agree with and some not. The fact of whether Oprah is gay or not should be a non-subject to discuss. The more important thing to me is that she is a very powerful woman and should be mindful of what and who she endorses especially in her book club. I do not object to self-help books, however some authors portray themselves as experts on how we should live our lives. We have had that book around for awhile - - it is called the BIBLE. Yes there are many interpretations of the holy book, but the wannabes (even though God and Bible are not mentioned) take a lot of their sage advice straight from the Bible. I believe no man nor woman should put themselves above
God. The Bible plainly states how to find your inner self and to have peace and harmony in your life, that book has endured for 2000 years, so why do we need to buy these people's books who's creditials might be suspect or new age or getting in touch with ones self. Sure, it makes them a lot of money and for people who have never read the Bible, say hey, this is easy! Those old men who wrote the OT and NT were illerate anyway, yet it has endured through the centuries. It is really very simple, take the time to read it. You will find your inner self and have a better life.

I think there is always a possibility, but it is unlikely that Oprah is gay. I think she is just too into herself. I think she worships at the alter of Oprah. She even has the new Church of Oprah. She was attending the hateful Rev. Wright church, but for business reasons and fear of tithing, decided not to attend. So, she formed her own religion that consists of a mirror. Gayle is the Assistant Minister and runs the collection plate. BTW, I think it would do everyone well to stop drinking the Kool Aid they serve there. She is arrogant and obnoxious. To me she seems racist.....there are serveral races, not just black and white, by the way. It was sad to see her throw around her sizable butt to influence a lot of people to vote for Obama without knowing anything about the ban, and his limitations. It didn't surprise me, but it disgusted me. She had been friends with Hilary for years. Hilary had worked hard to make the lives of the poor, as well as Black a little easier. A good friend is not easy to find ,and if you find one hold on to He/Her and that is what Oprah did .Is our society that bad that we don't believe that two people can just love each other for who they are,for better or for worse they stand by each other? .I know I am not a Lesbian but I can love my girl friends for ever as long as they will not change there character. You know we choose our friends for different reasons, the reason why X and Y are friends and not X and Z, it is because there was something good in Y that X loved, that Z did not have .That is true friendship. Faith is listening to what God has already communicated, living according to God's standards and being transformed through His power.
The Oprah message is just another "religion" - a really nice man-made belief system having no bearing on God's teachings.
Jesus was the Prince of Peace and embodiment of God in flesh - able to feed thousands with nothing, heal the sick and bring the dead back to life. His message was simple; God is inviting you into His Kingdom. But people reject Him because they want religion "their way" instead of "God's Way"
Those people who have overcome their same-sex compulsion and restored their heterosexual nature, describe homosexuality as a compulsion, similiar to alcoholism or drug addiction. I would not consider that a DIVINE RIGHT and the Bible clearly puts it into the category of sin.

What most amazed me what was sexuality expert, Dr. Laura Berman was on Orpah, talking about Oprah's "vah-jay-jay" instead of her vagina and her "pee pee" in talking about her urethra. She's obviously NOT comfortabel talking about her sexuality and has been sexualy abused by an uncle, a family frend and other men from age 9 to 14. I believe that these incidences still affect her ife and she's never mentioned anywhere, whether she's had counselling.
As to her public persona and her private life, I don't really care.
If Stedman Graham is REALLY going to write a tell-all-book about her life, IF that's the real reason behind her telling him it's over between them or...that he felt "disrespected" by her and her crush thing for rapper Jay-Z because of his smell.
I thought Stedman was above that kind of action, so I only need to check out Amazon to see if he really DOES have a book coming out. Supposedly, her "binge eating" also presented a problem between them. According to the 'believable' National Enqqirer, he told some media about what took place between them. I'll believe that when I see it for myself from a reputable source.
