Episode #006 features the long-awaited reunion of the crew with 'Thaniel and Emily, with a special in-studio guest.

Complete schedule of the show:

00:00 Welcome

00:33 ♩ "Opera Singer" by Cake from Comfort Eagle

00:58 Meet the Family: 'Thaniel and Emily are back, and Benjamin knows everything

04:26 ♩ "Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)" by Scatman John from The Best of Scatman John

04:32 You Are What You Eat: A disjointed recounting of various and sundry diet schemes

11:10 ♩ "Shiver" by Maroon 5 from Songs About Jane

11:27 Church Life: Out of the darkness, into the light

17:28 ♩ "Come Out And Play" by The Offspring from Smash

17:33 We Get Letters: The Internet Monk reviews One Big Happy Podcast, and gets part of his wish

22:32 ♩ "Just Friends" by Gavin DeGraw from Chariot

22:55 Wrap-up: 'Thaniel is crying, and next week: Adam Goldberg!

24:41 ♩ "Take Back the Beat" by Church of Rhythm from Church of Rhythm

25:05 End of podcast

As the short durations probably make clear, the listed songs are excerpted very briefly.

The iMonk's delightful review of the show is available online. If you don't already know who they are, you can always find information on Rachel McAdams, Lindsay Lohan, and Adam Goldberg at IMDB.

We ended the show feeling that it was not our best work to date, but we're willing to publish even our inferior efforts, because we care. Or something.

Please consider commenting or voting for us at Podcast Alley. I just noticed the show was out there, and I think it looks lonely with no comments or votes. I also submitted the show to Odeo yesterday, so check that out as well. Or, stick with the tried and true iTunes if you prefer.

Past episodes are also available at the official home of One Big Happy Podcast

Not bad. Definitely sounds like you all were having a good time.

I enjoyed the take on diets. Your friend has it right though. I also lost a lot of weight eating the weight watchers meals (lean cuisine) and bagged salad as silly as it seems. I also started running back then which was a big help.

And I enjoy my glass of wine, though it is not Arbor Mist.

    Keep streaming.

So the iMonk himself wrote a review. And pretty favorable.

Guess you're off Phil Johnson's Christmas card list. Bummer.

    lol. Great show, as usual.

Good show, man. Enjoyed that. FWIW, I like the committee approach to the show.

Thanks for all the comments, guys!

    1. Mark, I'm pretty sure that the correct answer there is, "No." Whether that's the answer Benjamin would give is anybody's guess. I'm not even going to mention the name around him. No offense, Dave. :-)

    2. My brother 'Thaniel was actually referring to The Hacker's Diet, for which I should probably have provided a link within the post.

    3. Nah, Warren, I think most of us in the BHT respect Phil Johnson quite a bit, including iMonk. And vice-versa. Sure, there's at least one person who can't stand him, but there's also one good friend of his among us. It's a diverse group!

    4. Thanks, DJR. It seemed a little chaotic that night, owing to several factors, but I definitely won't be barring various family members from dropping in. Some episodes will be just my wife and I, sure, but it's not called "One Big Happy" for nothing!

Thanks again for all of your comments. We covet feedback like most people covet oxygen. :-)

Phillip -- I FINALLY got back into podcasting mode and listened to your show for the first time. I must say I very much enjoyed it! Your (and your fams) enthusiasm carried the show through and through. Very cool explorations of various every day and existential subject matter, and I especially enjoyed the knowledge, wit, and worldwide wisdom of your 4-year old son!

Thanks, EB. The bit about Benjamin didn't go as well as I'd hoped, but apparently the kid is a natural, even via third-party retelling!

I think our plan is to record #7 tonight.
