I have mixed feeling about taking lyrics out of their musical context and analyzing them line by line: most songs sound stupid, trite, simplistic, etc., when approached in this manner. Music and lyrics are inextricably bound and offer commentary upon each other. All nuance, inflection, mood, and tone are lost in this technique.

However, it can also be funny and revealing, and Seamus Hughes of Rap Truth seems to be good at it:
