The big one. Microsoft warns a "critical" flaw in the latest versions of its Windows operating system could allow hackers to access a person's computer.
- "This is one of the most serious Microsoft vulnerabilities ever released," said Mr Maiffret of eEye Digital Security, the US company that discovered the Windows flaw. "The breadth of systems affected is probably the largest ever." He added: "This is something that will let you get into internet servers, internal networks, pretty much any system."
This has been a public service announcement :-) This post and other fine reading also appeared at BlogBloke.com

It took Microsoft over six months to fix this flaw, too. eEye reported it to them last July.
eEye, the security research organization that found this flaw, also says "The MSASN1 library is fraught with integer overflows" so there may be more fixes in the future.
