The message is on the MJJ Source site, which is also the home of his infamous celebratory video: after a dramatic opening fanfare flourish, a screeen emblazoned with "Innocent" and a hand flashing a victory sign, the video segues into a montage of quotes proclaiming Jackson's innocence and predicting his acquittal, interspersed with a calendar of historic events including "Martin Luther King is born," "The Berlin Wall falls," "Nelson Mandela is freed," and then, most importantly of all, "June 13, 2005, Remember this date for it is a part of HIStory."
He IS the world, he is the children, he is the wind beneath our wings.

After having been found guilty by all the media of the world before even hearing any piece of evidence, after having been pronounced overwhelmingly guilty by the (ignorant) american people, after have read and heard over and over again that he would spend 20 years in jail, I do think there is a case for triumphalism.
Not guilty on all counts. Who would have thought so among all the media brainwashing that this man HAD TO be guilty ? Who would have put a penny on it ?
Michael Jackson has all the reasons to show the world that he is an innocent man and to be triumphant.

For twenty years the press have been desperately trying to bring him down. For 13 years he has been persecuted by a blood thirsty DA. For decades we have heard that his career was over. For years and years we heard that he was a peadophile and yet the man still sell albums by millions and millions. He is a unique phenomenon and he will bounce back !

In any conspiracy against Mr. Jackson, the biggest conspirator has been none other than Mr. Jackson himself. If he hadn't handed out such huge quantities of ammunition to use against him, nobody could have gotten this far in any campaign to bring him down.
Watching him suffer for his many missteps may provide entertainment to some, like the sufferings of sideshow performers.
But I doubt very much that's the kind of entertainment he really wants to be remembered for.

Of course it is up to you to decide what is fact and what is fiction. It is up to you to decide what has been invented from A to Z and what only comes from misunderstandings and communication problems.
The world is obsessed with Michael Jackson and the only way to put things straight would be for him to spend his entire life denying the latest press releases.
He has spent most of his life ignoring them instead and has given no more than 10 interviews in the past 20 years. People want to hear about him. They want to know what he is up to. When there is nothing new to say about him, they just spin the truth or invent incredible stories for the eager-to-believe-anything clueless american public.

I don't recall ever using such hateful rhetoric in regards to Michael Jackson's eccentricities.
It gives me no enjoyment at all to point out how the cumulative effect of his many odd lifestyle choices has been to give large segments of the public a deeply unfavorable impression of his mental stability.
I'm not one of those who finds it entertaining to see the rich and famous fall from the heights of glory. I'd much prefer to have seen Mr. Jackson continue the artistic successes he enjoyed in the 1970s and 1980s.
Unfortunately, he did not. He made serious mistakes, in terms of the effect his choices had on his public image.
If that's not the kind of entertainment he wants to provide, he needs to learn how to make better choices.

my point is that i do believe he has been treated unfairly for the past 2 decades. I am not sure why the media likes to bash him but he certainly is a victim of his own success.

Everyone gets unfair treatment in the media. That's why it's so unwise to hand out ammunition for them to use against you.
Every famous entertainer is expected to have one or two eccentric personal traits. It's only when their oddities begin to outweigh anything anyone else could possibly identify with that a celebrity's public image really suffers some serious damage.
In Michael Jackson's case, this problem reaches major overload. Even if fully half the odd things reported about him were completely fabricated by the press, he would still seem totally bizarre to the average person.

As long as his cumulative wierdnesses were harmful only to Jackson and his reputation, most of "the world" simply enjoyed his music and snickered at his excesses.
With the allegations of molestation, however, came a different degree of attention. He lost a lot of supporters when he asserted that it was okay for him to sleep with young boys.
HE said it, not the press.
And, nick, you can spin all you like, but people make judgements based on what they learn, and what we learned from Michael Jackson HIMSELF turned many of us away in disgust.
You go ahead, blinders firmly in place, soundly convinced that Jacko can do no wrong. That's your judgement (such as it is). My opinion is, it is you who is obsessed about Michael Jackson.
As for me - like the music, despise the man.

I think I despise the parents tht put their kids in that situation more...I mean, we've heard for years about alledged abuse...but think about it...if you heard of alledged abuse at a day care facility...would you leave your kid there? Iwouldn't...but then again...I love my kids!

MJ purposely stoked the media machine when he thought it was to his advantage, and when he found out he couldn't control the monster he had helped create he cried foul - seems a bit hypocritical to me
