Jaime Hernandez Speaks

Bill Sherman has a loving review of Love and Rockets #6 comic here. It's such a good review even I am interested, and I haven't read a comic in about 25 years. Coincidentally (or not), the Comics Journal has an audio interview with L&R author Jaime Hernandez here, described thusly by site editor Dirk Deppey:

We continue last month's look at the Hernandez Brothers with another hour's worth of MP3 excerpts from their 1989 interview in issue #126 of The Comics Journal — this time featuring Jaime Hernandez, the mastermind behind Maggie, Hopey, Penny Century and the rest of the "Locas" crowd found in the groundbreaking comic book series "Love and Rockets." The interview, conducted by Gary Groth and R. Fiore, finds Jaime holding forth on his characters, his working methods,
his influences, and how he learned to draw like that. The audio files will be available from our website until January 17th.
