The future looks rather complacent and boring for the Whitney - Summer of Love?, Roni Horn?, Stingel? (interesting intervention or obliteration of Stingel's work by the public at the MCA in Chicago, depending on how you look at it) but still, it seems the only real challenge for any museum these days is where to build or how to renovate. Perhaps they should start "renovating" the idea of what a museum is or does and turn their attention back on the art being made and on the public that comes to see it.
