Interview: Millionairess Robin Kassner, CEO of Haute PR - Page 5

Is there anything you would like to say about yourself and Haute PR that the world does not know other than what was portrayed on the reality TV show?

I am a smart girl, with an advanced degree. All of the pink, Hello Kitty, Pomeranian footage was really me. I do have a pink apartment. Aside from that the rest of the show was made up. They amped up the color on the show so it would look like I was wearing clown makeup. They tried to portray me as this needy, desperate, insecure, superficial girl. In reality, I am the most self-confident, fun, interesting person in the world. What I want girls to know is that you can accomplish your goals and live the life of your dreams, regardless of what negative people think. People who wallow in their misery feel the need to tear others down so they can feel better about their miserable lives. I believe in girl power. I am uplifting to women and show them that they can live the life of their dreams and accomplish their goals, whatever they may be.

Was there anything positive to have come out of your experience on the show?

The one thing that I love is all of the other millionaires who I have met. We are good friends and I have never met such a lovely bunch of people in my life! I just threw a huge viewing party at the Grace Hotel in New York for 450 people and the millionaires came out in full force! We sipped on Nuvo Hello Kittini cocktails and had Hello Kitty Cupcakes by a pink swimming pool. I gave away these super-cute Haute PR swag bags. It was super-chic and super-fun hanging out with my millionaires!

Thank you, Robin, for taking time out to speak with me.

Hard to believe someone smart enough to be so successful in business could've thought reality TV was "for real."

"Therefore, I realized my future husband wasn't at the mixer so I picked Luke because he is cute but honestly, there were no professionals there other than Charlie, the retired NYPD officer, who I should have picked. So I figured I would be a good sport about it."

Robin, I don't understand why you didn't choose Charlie.

oh Please, she's full of Sh*t, if she didn't give them any material to edit than they wouldn't have anything to edit. Now she's trying to save face with these interviews. Whatever!

There was another guy who was an atty. Why didn't she pick him? Furthermore, what's wrong with people who live outside of Manhattan?

The retired police officer was name Anthony. And Patti kicked the homeless guy out as soon as she found out he was homeless. She was brutal, too.
I'm a big girl and I think Robin is fake. All she has are her dogs and her money. She is over the top with her laugh, her cutesy-ness, her make-up, and her smile is truly fake. She has to overcompensate for her low self esteem and unhappiness due to being overweight. I battled with that myself when I was in my twenties but it is something you can overcome. I'm 31, still overweight, a successful business owner, and I'm married to the greatest man in the world who loves me unconditionally and I didn't have to buy him anything.

I was very impressed by her success story until I saw her in a social setting. She is overly concerned with outward appearances. She focused all of her attention on the hot guy who wasn't attracted to her large frame. The sweet, chubby guy who adored her didn't stand a chance. She even offered to buy the hot guy a sports car! It was BEYOND disgusting. I'm a large woman myself, and I'm proud to say that I have never compromised my self-worth just to be seen with a hot guy. There are more important factors to consider when choosing a life partner.

@Bethany, Robin stated that she did not purchase a car for Luke.

@Kacey, Consider Robin as a media genius. She still has people talking about her and now interested in her business. She has had incredible leads because of her appearance on the show.

Hence, it would seem that reality Tv is not "real" as evidenced by the post interviews and Robin's insisting that there was "tampering" of her dates by the producers of the show. It was all an act for the camera's as she stated.

Robin spent half of the episode drunk - and I would love to hear how she would explain giving Luke a hand-job under the table.

@ Jessica: You are either Robin or a friend of hers that was paid off to leave these comments. Everyone that knows her knows her depiction on the show is totally accurate, AND she is FAR from a genius in ANY capacity! Anyone dumb enough to use her company after her horrible display on the show deserves the sub-par service they will receive.

Sorry, I meant Aidy. Robin was bragging to everyone that would listen to her ramblings after the show how she DID give him the handjob. She also told her "friends" that he asked to drive her Mercedes and she told him she'd only loan her car to a boyfriend, to which he replied "Then I guess that makes me your boyfriend". No one would date her for her personality; she is an empty headed, self-important nitwit. And PS, they probably "roughed her up" at the airport because she refused to the buy 2 seats required to sit her fat ass! Hey Robin, go on a diet, learn that you're the only person who thinks you're as spectacular as you do and do some serious soul searching. Everyone around you is sick of you and your self-important babble. As you read this aloud to your "employees", even if they agree how unfair this all is to you in your presence, inside they'll be agreeing with me and talking behind your back about it. We all do honey!

@Sick, I am not a friend of Robin. I only inquired about her for the interview. The questions I ask are questions I chose to ask her. If you know her personally, then you know more than the rest of us about her true personality. If any of her employees are willing to discuss the contents of the above interview feel free to contact me.

Yes, many men like curvy women. So do many women. However, "curvy" doesn't mean huge muffin top waistline and bulging belly and flabby thighs. I am so over balloon-shaped women calling themselves "curvy". Marilyn Monroe was curvy. Rita Hayworth was curvy. Kim Kardashian is curvy. Miss Kassner, however, is not curvy, but Miss Kassner is morbidly obese. And judging form the photos on her PR firm's website, she's very figure conscious and not happy with her bulges - for what other reason would she (as the head of the firm) not take the lead on the staff photos but hide behind her taller and much slimmer pink-clad employees?

Also, what kind of PR does a publicist deliver that isn't even able to spell the URL of her own company's website correctly (as seen on the industry's leading website mediabistro.com, where Kassner lists the URL of her firm "Haute PR" as "www.hautpr.com" - ouch. That's probably the same type of publicist that goes on a TV show without doing her homework first and doing basic research about said TV show.

And finally: If you don't say it, even the most gifted director and cutter in the world won't be able to edit it into your speech. Miss Kassner has nobody but herself to blame for her vastly negative portrayal on the Millionaire Matchmaker. As a self-proclaimed publicist, Miss Kassner simply must be aware of the dos and don'ts on TV, and babbling nonsense or sucking wine through a straw (which is done to get the alcohol to kick in faster) certainly aren't on the "what to do in front of a camera crew" list.
(I am also having a hard time believing that BravoTV spent three weeks filming Miss Kassner. I have worked for similar TV formats, and our camera crews would spend three DAYS with each protagonist featured on the program.)

All in all, Miss Kassner seemed to be such an incredible phony (an impression supported by her very own online presentations) and so immature that she was painful to watch, and I felt embarrassed for her every single time she was on camera.

NYC Offices? Oh please, Robin works out of her 1 bedroom apartment. Editing didn't make her feel up the guy's nipples on the first date or reach for his crotch in front of tv cameras or say how she wanted to Botox her dog. Editing can do a lot, but it can't make up what didn't happen. They added color to her face to make her look like a clown? Anyone who knows her, knows her makeup is often that way. In a way, I almost pity her. How can a grown, educated woman be that shallow and clueless about how she portrays herself in public. Especially if public relations is her business. The party she hosted for almost 500 people to watch the show was absolutely the saddest. Everyone was laughing at her but trying to keep it on the QT. It was pitiful.

@ Floridiana. I agree 100% with every single thing you said. I am a overweight girl myself and I agree. I am sick of obese women calling themselves thick and curvy instead of accepting the fact that they are in need of weight loss. Robin is crazy and needs help. There is no way a edit crew can make you look that bad. If I was BRAVO I would sue ur ass for talking so badly about the company. I know they do edit but come on be real and go get HELP!!!!!!

  • 22 - Krys

    Aug 15, 2011 at 2:19 pm

Robin, I am sorry, even with all the editing going on, it's hard to believe or sympathize for you. No one told you to tell Luke in the show "I want to have sex with you." Nor did they instruct you to tell the men in the mixer that you "like to be tackled". Giving a dog Botox? Come on, how can you not expect people to think that you may be superficial?

Editing does have a way of taking things out of context but you are a smart, educated woman, and I would assume that you would know better when it comes to being careful to what you say.

Your attempt to save-face is making it worse for you. Own up to it, because you're not fooling anyone. Her show was on for two seasons and to pretending that you oblivious to how Patti is shows how ignorant you are. It's like being invited to be a guest on Jerry Spring and expecting something good is going to happen.

I don't buy that it was all editing. This girl is clearly a moron without an intelligent thought in her head. I am sure her businesses success is 99% luck and the fact that she is well-connected. It has nothing to do with her being bright or good at what she does.

I really dont think Patty has anything against plus size women. I think Robin is gross and disgusting, not because of her weight, but because of her personality. Even if she was a size 2 she would still be ugly, disgusting and stupid.
