Peruvian police said on Monday they seized nearly 1,540 pounds (700 kg) of cocaine hidden in frozen giant squid bound for Mexico and the United States.

Seven people were arrested in the drug seizure. Police said the haul would have a street value of about $17.5 million.
Word on the street is, the cops were tipped off because the squid couldn't keep its tentacles still. Also, its pupils were the size of plankton.
If charged with being a "mule," the squid could face up to 25 years of hard labor as a floatation device in Starr Jones's swimming pool.
